Try the studio first
Generate a couple of models on the site and see the quality for yourself. It takes a minute and costs nothing, and it is the honest way to find out whether this is worth wiring into your assistant.

What you can ask for
The assistant picks the right tool and chains steps together on its own
Turn anything into 3D
Describe an object or hand it an image and get a textured mesh back. Multiple engines are available, so you can ask for the best quality, clean even topology, or automatic low poly.
Generate and edit images
Make the reference art first, edit it in place, then convert the result to 3D without leaving the conversation. The assistant chains the steps itself.
Convert formats
Ask for the same model as STL, OBJ, FBX, USDZ, PLY, or 3MF. You can also give it a physical size, which is how a model becomes 3D-print ready in one sentence.
Remove backgrounds
Cut a subject out of a photo before converting it, or clean up a generated image. Useful when the reference has a busy background.
Organise your library
Create projects, file results into them, and search back through what you have already generated. Everything the assistant makes appears in your normal dashboard.
Check what things cost
Ask what a generation would cost or what your balance is before committing. Larger jobs ask you to confirm before spending anything.

Claude
The richest experience. Finished models render in an interactive 3D viewer right in the conversation, with a clay and textured toggle, and you can orbit them without leaving the chat.
ChatGPT
Cards render and the full toolset works. One habit helps: say the tool name, as in "use 3D AI Studio to make this 3D", otherwise ChatGPT tends to reach for its own image generator first.
Cursor
No inline viewer, results come back as text and links. Good when you want assets generated as part of a coding session without switching windows.
Claude Code
Terminal-first, same toolset. Handy for scripted or repeated asset generation alongside whatever you are building.
You stay in control of the connection
Connecting an assistant to an account you pay for should be a considered decision, so here is exactly what it can and cannot do.
No API keys anywhere
You sign in through a normal login screen and approve access. Nothing is generated, pasted into a config file, or left sitting in your clipboard history.
Scoped access, and you see the scope
The approval screen lists exactly what the assistant is being granted and which credits it will spend, personal or team. You choose before approving.
Disconnect takes effect immediately
Revoking from Settings deletes every credential that assistant holds on the spot. There is no grace window where it keeps working, and signing out of all devices revokes everything at once.
It is your account, not a copy
Generations land in your normal dashboard with your normal history and projects. Nothing is siloed off somewhere separate, and nothing is shared with other users.

3d models that wont break the bank. I made around 25 models rigged a few. It was able to use just my png 2d artwork to generate a 3d model which can be saved as glb, fbx, stl, which port over into game engines easy. Some of my characters have armor on an it made them look so AAA in thier armor.
